During the day, important stylists, editors, photographers and writers acquired an exclusive chance to notice next season’s footwear and outerwear collection, that’s inspired by along with themed around photography. We won’t give too much away here – you’ll be hearing plenty regarding it from the summer let’s move on – but it went down very well, with the press specifically enjoying the way our own design team have got interpreted the digital photography theme through each of our Italian Blake stitched, Goodyear welted, everyday and outerwear ranges. Highlights included camo print, commando stone island jas uitverkoop sole Goodyear welted boots, hi-top luxury Italian teachers, hand brushed wholecut elegant shoes and the Hoagland Derby brogue, which features a longwing design punctured with sq brogueing, rather than the classic round pattern, to mimic the pattern available on classic film whitening strips. Our very talented Tattooist-in-Chief was also in action to show off our Sweeney Tattoo program live, which uses an actual tattoo gun and ink to create just about any bespoke design you’d like on a pair of your own favourite Sweeneys or accessory. The current Gio wholecut gets a great update for AW15 in deep burnished shades and also, as can be seen simply to the back, a rich red-colored velvet suede.
Our Tattoist-in-Chief at the office surrounded by a number of existing Sweeney Tattoo adorned designs.
As the evening began, guests arrived for that main event: the start party. With everyone from the TV presenters Dan Walker as well as Jamie East to sporting greats like There Matthew Pinsent and Will Greenwood, current Saracens squad members Mike Ellery, Duncan Taylor, Will Fraser, and model Frank Perceval as well as musician Mikill Lite, it was a star-studded occasion, that also included Private room customers and push, and of course a smattering of Sweeney store professionals.
We were very honored to be joined by Sir Matthew Pinsent for the opening of our own new Covent Garden primary store.
Singer, Alex Clare done two short units, which saw your pet revisit some of his well-know music like ‘Too Close’ and ‘Damn Your Eyes’, and was created by both our Ceo Maurice Helfgott and our very own Cobbler-in-Chief, Ricky Cooper. The Cobbler also presented two of our longest-serving retailer managers, Julian and Ridian, together with gifts to enjoy their 10 years of service.
Singer Alex Clare kept wowed our guests with an incredible live acoustic guitar set.
All in all, it turned out a fantastic event (even though we do say so ourself), integrating Sweeney fans with the press, sports megastars with musicians, and a few of our oldest customers with some of the most inspiring creative talents inside the capital.
If you have missed the event, don’t worry, there’s a great deal to see in the Club. Brain down to 10 Henrietta St, Covent Garden, WC2E 8PS.
