Thanks Megabites, for letting myself share stone island glasses one of the most popular patterns with the KCW neighborhood! Honestly, most of you most likely Long Black Jacket Coat Winter Clothes 2015 already know about the amazing Geranium Dress/Tunic pattern, as you should, because this pattern rocks !. It’s another one by the talented Rae of Manufactured by Rae (her upcoming Parsley Jeans pattern was highlighted here yesterday). You’ll think we were becoming paid to shout her praises, on the other hand swear we’re not! She is just that good.
Geranium inside Feathers
I’ve utilized this pattern more than once now and it is one of my go to patterns. Here are some from the reasons why:
1. The pattern is extremely great, with great charts and tables, great photos and blueprints, clear instructions, as well as tons of helpful hints and also tips. The design is easy to print, cut and build. The whole package is just professional and high good quality.

2. Flexibility. The pattern itself comes with lots of choices for variations. You can choose from tunic or dress length, multiple sleeve alternatives, necklines, skirt sorts and pockets. Using the variations given, the particular combinations you can make are usually limitless! Plus, it’s only such a great basic pattern that you can go on to make your own adjustments as well – try out different sleeve sorts, lengthen the bodice/drop the waist, different blouse styles, pockets as well as closures. Depending on what fabrics you choose, you can make this into a casual every day top, or a elegant special occasion dress.

3. It’s an easy and fast sew! Between Rae’s great directions and the ease of the construction, you actually can’t go wrong using this dress. Once you’ve created one or two, making more is a snap and it is released adorable EVERY. Moment.

This is not a Geranium Gown, but I actually utilized the bodice pattern part and altered this to make into a undoable spring coat! See the full tutorial right here.
There are tons of Geranium gowns and tunics already on the market and you can see a great deal of them in the reddit pool. It’s really difficult to pick my favorites, but here are some that found my eye . . .
Top quit: Miss Matatabi’s Geranium Christmas Outfit
Top right: Delia Create’s Geranium Dress Bouquet
Bottom remaining: Groovybaby and mama’s 1000 Cranes Geranium
Bottom right: Made by Rae’s Mini Washi
You really should also check out the awesome collection of Geranium gowns made up in the new Tsuru fabric line through Rashida Coleman-Hale. I think these are my favorite out of the entire series:
And Rae has a excellent post for adding trim to the Geranium, like piping, ric rac or tiny pom poms that you definitely want to check out. AND Trine of Groovybaby….and mama carries a great tutorial regarding how to add a zipper for the Geranium (instead of a button placket). I haven’t tried it yet, however definitely will be trying that on my following one!
I really believe everyone needs this design in their collection. So if you are looking for something exciting to sew up in the future for KCW, put the Geranium Dress/Tunic on your list!
In honor of this informative article, I sewed upward a new Geranium, in feathers! So head over to my own blog, you & mie, for further pics and specifics.
Thanks for having me and happy stitching!
